RADX – Image Based and Clinical COVID-19 Triage, Diagnosis and Tracking System
Simplex Information Technologies has started to work on developing the Radiological Imaging System, RADX, and transforming it into a decision support mechanism to be used in the SARS-CoV-2 Triage and their diagnosis. Thanks to artificial intelligence based algorithms , the course of the disease and possible treatment methods will be suggested by the system from the patient’s radiological images. Simplex Information Technologies’ RADX product is currently being used by organizations.

Futuris Electronic is designing a “high resolution thermal system” product to detect suspicious cases of body fever and take precise measurements in highly populated areas such as shopping malls, hospitals, schools, supermarkets, business centers and prisons . This project was supported by TÜBİTAK 1507 program and the product is in the development phase.

SARS-CoV-2 Molecular Based Local and National Diagnostic Kit
(CORONEX- COVID 19 RT-qPCR Diagnostic Kit)
The Diagnostic Kit being developed by DS BIO NANO TECHNOLOGIES will ensure that the target virus, even if in a very small quantity in a patient’s sample, is detected, directly replicated, and followed by the diagnosis which will be recorded as a safe diagnosis because Ig G and IG M tests based on the interaction of viral antigen and patient antibody have the risk of indicating other infections such as SARS CoV and MERS CoV. A new diagnostic kit is being developed.

External Quality Control for the Molecular Methods Used in the Diagnosis of Viral Infections
MOTAKK (External Quality Control in Molecular Diagnosis) is an Academic Start-Up. MOTAKK, located in the Ankara University Technopolis, has signed a protocol with the T.R. Ministry of Health for the realization of adding COVID-19 to external quality control panels for molecular methods to be used in the diagnosis of viral infections in laboratories.

TÜBİTAK 1004 – Center of Excellence Support Program under the coordination of TUBITAK MAM-19 Turkey platform for COVID-19 has made our University the Executing Agency of the project on March 19, 2020. Three out of five applicants were given the approval to be supported to proceed and one of the three supported projects is this one.

They are currently being used by the Ankara University Ibn-i Sina Hospital and are in compliance with the medical standards. These “single use” disposable products reduce the risk of disease transmission and accelerate the hospital processes.
