History

Ankara University Technopolis has been established as the Research, Development and Science Park of Ankara University. In order to improve the university’s values, Technopolis has gained legal personality under the main contract No. 6807 date 14.05.2007 which published in Turkish Trade Registry Gazette. As of August 1, 2009, firms have started their R & D activities.

Office

Technopolis’ indoor space was opened in 2009 with 4.000,00 m2. The newest indoor space with 8.300.00 m2 was built on 12/2013 to serve as Incubation Center, Technology Transfer Office and accession of new firms. The current space is open for the usage of 84 offices, a conference hall with the capacity of 400 ppl, also a cafeteria area for 200 ppl. Technopolis is 15,000 square meters in total and with 140 offices meanwhile it continues its activities by expanding the social areas.

Pioneer in Life Sciences

With its flexible structure and the long years of experience Ankara University has various opportunities in which the Departments of Biotechnology in Agricultural and Veterinary Medicine, Institutions of Stem Cells and Forensic Science are in cooperation. It aims to be Turkey’s leading Technopolis regarding the current corporation in life sciences. Within this scope, Technopolis provides scientific services carried out by the faculty members’ work and data to bring University- Industry cooperation at its summit.
